CFA Institute Research Challenge

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global financial analysis competition for university students organised by the CFA Institute: each team, led by a CFA professional in the role of mentor, has the task of analysing - in a professional manner and with special tools for collecting economic and financial data - a listed company. From local challenges to sub-regional and regional challenges: only the best teams will make it to the global final.

The Polimi Team

Every year, a new Team made up of five students from the Laurea Magistrale (Master of Science) programme in Management Engineering represents Politecnico di Milano in the CFA Challenge that sees the world's most prestigious Business Schools competing. In the past editions, the students have been able to apply specialised finance skills, but not only that: they prepared themselves under the guidance of professors Laura Grassi and Marco Giorgino from the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering and a CFA mentor, they analysed an equity, performed research and in-depth analyses to create a comprehensive report and present it in front of a panel of experts, demonstrating communication skills and mastery of the English language.
