In the QS 2024 Ranking by subject Politecnico is the 23rd university in the world for Engineering&Technology:, the 7th university in the world for Art&Design and for Architecture/Built Environment. It is among the first 20 universities in the world for Civil & Structural Engineering; Electrical & Electronic Engineering; Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering, Petroleum Engineering. And among the first 50 in the world for Computer Science & Information Systems; Data Science & AI; Chemical Engineering; Materials Science; Mathematics.

Politecnico di Milano is a large community of 47.959 enrolled students and 1.893 PhD students, of which 7.325 architects, 4.438 designers, 36.196 engineers. 

International enrolled students are 8.258, divided as follows: 1.740 enrolled in laurea programmes (equivalent to BSc), 6.033 in laurea magistrale programmes (equivalent to MSc), 485 in PhD programmes. 

The staff consists of 1.292 full professors and 1.627 collaborators (technical and administrative staff)

Italian MSc graduates in 2022, one year after graduation: 97% are employed; 93% have a work consistent with their degree; 89% would choose Politecnico again.
