Descrizione dell'iniziativa
Workshop Description
This workshop focuses on developing an innovative water dispenser in a tower configuration, tailored for public spaces and hospitality scenarios such as schools, small offices, hospitals, and restaurants. Leveraging a flexible platform provided by R&D, the workshop will explore cutting-edge designs that prioritize user experience (UX) and adaptability.
Workshop Scope
This workshop brings together MIDEA's expertise and academic insights to develop an innovative water dispenser platform tailored to hospitality scenarios such as schools, offices, hospitals, and small restaurants. The aim is to create a product that aligns with the local habits of Western users, resonates with Generation Z preferences, and integrates sustainable practices to reduce the product's carbon footprint.
MIDEA will play a pivotal role in supporting the workshop with its industry-leading knowledge. Through consumer research, MIDEA will provide a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors, ensuring the design addresses real-world challenges. The company will also contribute advanced technology to drive innovative solutions and share market insights to align the product with current trends and demands. A detailed competitor analysis will identify opportunities for differentiation and set a new benchmark in water dispenser design.
The university team will complement this by focusing on understanding cultural and generational interactions with water dispensers. Research on European consumer behavior will identify regional preferences, while insights into Generation Z's interaction with water dispensers will highlight their unique expectations for convenience, technology, and design. Additionally, the academic team will contribute expertise in User Experience Design (UED) to create intuitive and user-friendly products and User Interface Design (UID) to ensure seamless and engaging interactions.
This collaboration aims to deliver a range of impactful results. Key outcomes include the exploration of new platform opportunities for water dispensers, the development of innovative ideas tailored to hospitality needs, and the creation of new interaction models based on local habits and Generation Z preferences. Recommendations for new technologies and materials will address efficiency and sustainability, while strategies to reduce the carbon footprint will provide a clear direction for eco-conscious design. Additionally, the workshop will focus on enhancing user experience (UX) to ensure the final product is intuitive and meets diverse user requirements.
