This new professional figure will be able to understand and manage advanced technologies that are fundamental to the medical profession, applying increasingly personalized medicine using highly complex technological systems for patient treatment, clinical evaluation, and diagnosis.

The programme allow graduates to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, immediately after receiving the degree in Medicine and Surgery from Humanitas University.

Career opportunities

Graduates may find employment in the medical profession and research sectors, as well as in industries that operate in the field of biomedical devices and technologies or in the pharmaceutical sector.

More info

In the first 3 years of the programme, the first semesters will take place at Politecnico di Milano, and the second semesters at Humanitas University, allowing students to experience from the very beginning a cross-disciplinary education combining medical and engineering knowledge.
In the following 3 years, primarily focused on clinical training, teaching activities will be organized at Humanitas University. These 3 years will include single-subject and integrated courses, taught by professors from both Politecnico and Humanitas, often co-teaching together.
The same co-tutoring approach will also be adopted for some of the professionalizing activities typical of medical training.
