To submit the Study Plan, within the period indicated in the "Deadlines" section, access the Online Services Career > Study Plan - Presentation.
You can fill in the Study Plan by selecting the proposed courses based on the teaching offer of your Programme, entering courses for a minimum of 30 ECTS credits and a maximum of 80 ECTS credits per year.
You can only submit a Study Plan that includes tuition for less than 30 ECTS in specific situations such as: students lacking OFAs (additional educational obligations); students nearing the end of their studies; students enrolling in a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in their second semester (the minimum limit is 15 ECTS for the latter category).
Attention
- the number of ECTS inserted in the Study Plan will affect the amount of university tuition fees.
- if you are a student of a Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) Study Programme, you can add a maximum of 32 ECTS as extra's courses for the whole duration of the programme, in accordance to what stated in the Educational Rules.
- if you are a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) student, there is no limit to the number of ECTS credits that can be added in a supernumerary position.
- if you are a student enrolled in Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) and in Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) Study Programmes of the Engineering Schools and of the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering, you can make optional changes to Study Plan in the second semester.
Online Procedure to submit the Study Plan
Through the specific Online Services function available to submit the Study Plan (Online Services > Career > Study Plan - Presentation), you will find several screens.
On the first screen you will find a list of information, including:
- Academic Calendar (where you can find the submission date of the Plan and the half-year change, if provided);
- Service Communication related to your educational path;
- School Communication that allows you to directly access your School's notices and Educational rules;
- Information on how to draw up a Study Plan (general summary information about Study Plan submission).
On the second screen, which appears when you press the NEXT button, you will find different data depending on your course, which may be:
- DEFINITION OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED STUDENT PLAN AND/OR LAUREA (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) CLASS for Schools that provide for this, in some cases the definition of an order of preference may be required.
- ACQUIRED ATTENDANCES Two tables are displayed here:
- one with the list of passed exams and next to each element of the plan you will find, depending on what you can do, the symbol of two arrows that join together and that serves to move the position of the course from ACTIVE to EXTRA or vice versa, or the symbol of a red X which is used to delete the course from the previous plan so that you can re-enter it from scratch in the study plan (pay attention to the tuition fee amount).
- one with the examinations you have not yet passed, which you can only self-certify if you are waiting for the results to be registered or if the date of the appeal for which you were regularly enrolled has already passed.
On the third screen ( STUDY PLAN COMPILATION) you are first shown the summary of the attendances acquired and the buttons with which you can proceed to submit your plan.
You will therefore be able to enter in your Study Plan the courses in the following sections.

Your study plan
Continue browsing to go to the home page for study plan submissions. Here you will find different data depending on your course. Just follow the proposed steps up to the Summary.
Some details on the data you might see:
ATTENDANCE ACQUIRED
- Courses taken and validated: this section lists the courses already in the plan that have been taken or validated. If you wish, you can confirm the current situation or move the course position from ACTUAL to EXTRA, or the reverse.
- Self-certifications: this section lists the courses already in the study plan for which registration for the exam has been recorded. If you are confident that you have passed an exam, you may self-certify it as completed; otherwise, you should add the module to your study plan again.
- Courses to be taken: this section lists the courses included in previous lists or derived from previous career assessments. You can make changes or confirm to continue drawing up the list.
NEW ATTENDANCES
- Actual tuition: in this section you can include in your Study Plan the courses required for submission, which contribute to the calculation of credits for the degree.
To enter them, use the + icon next to the title, and select the type of course:- From recommended offer: courses envisaged in the Rules for the degree programme in which you are enrolled.
- Autonomous courses: courses that mostly belong to Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) degree programmes/PSPA courses other than yours. Their inclusion in the Study Plan must then be approved by the Study Programme Board.
- Extra courses: courses that do not count towards the total number of credits required for the qualification; they are optional and, therefore, do not contribute to the calculation of the average grade. However, they contribute to the maximum limit of 80 ECTS credits laid down for the annual Study Plan, and are included in the amount of ECTS credits that determine the amount of the all-inclusive contribution. If passed, they are listed on the certificates with examinations, which you can request.
To enter examinations in the study plan, use the icon + next to the title. You may take the extra examinations until the day before the Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) call, and not after that date. Extra examinations may be taken in the first session after enrolment for the Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science), if their attendance is validated. You can only change an exam from actual to extra and the reverse, for courses that are part of Study Plans approved in previous years, in compliance with the paths provided for by the Educational Rules, in the Study Plan submission window at the beginning of the first semester. This requires registration for the new academic year.
Consult the Educational Rules of your programme to check whether there are any limits for the inclusion of specific extra courses
There is no guarantee that examinations passed as “extra” will be recognised in the event of a subsequent application for admission to Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) and Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes that include the same examinations in the relevant teaching programme
Summary and submission of the study plan
Once you have finished filling in the study plan, you will be able to access the final section “Conclude”. Here you can double-check what you have done previously, and complete the list. You can choose whether to:
- Leave the change open; if you wish, you can come back later and edit without having to do it all over again. The system will automatically deliver your study plan on the deadline
- Submit your study plan as soon as possible to begin the approval process. Once submitted within this submission window, the study plan can no longer be modified.
Always remember to save and print the confirmation receipt of the Study Plan
