The Startup-101 workshop was born with the main objective of making students understand how their technical knowledge can interact with the academic and industrial world to create value for society. Participants will be exposed to the fundamental topics they will have to face after graduation regardless of the path they will decide to take: whether they decide to launch their own company, work in a large company or start a career in the academic world. They will be asked to think in an innovative way, out of their comfort zone. Hence, it's important today, while they are still studying, to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. During the course they will understand the importance within a nascent business context of hypothesis formulation and testing. These assumptions will primarily concern potential customers and the business model. How to formulate these hypotheses? How to test them? These questions will be answered with the support of two fundamental tools: business model canvas and value proposition canvas. This course is a support to the preparation for the Switch2Product Competition that will be developed through 1to1 meetings.
