Milano Arch Week 2025
From Monday, October 27, to Sunday, November 2, 2025, Milano Arch Week returns, the week dedicated to architecture, urban transformation, and the future of cities promoted since 2017 by the City of Milan, the Milan Polytechnic, and Triennale Milano. The event is curated by Nina Bassoli, curator for architecture, urban regeneration, and the city at Triennale Milano, and Matteo Ruta, professor at the Milan Polytechnic.
The seventh edition of Milano Arch Week, titled Inequalities and Architecture, is being held to mark the closing of the 24th International Exhibition of Triennale Milano (until November 9, 2025). It aims to expand and deepen the themes of inequalities related to the growing inequalities characterizing cities and the contemporary world. Continuing the reflections launched during the last edition, which focused on the theme of the suburbs and was widely disseminated throughout the region, Milano Arch Week 2025 will question the role of architecture in addressing the various forms of inequality present in cities, building a collaborative reflection on the new dialectic between wealth and poverty, society and community, ecology and sustainability, through stories, projects, and ideas.
International architects and designers, emerging studios and professionals, urban planners, and artists were invited to reflect on these themes.
This edition's guests, invited to give a lecture at the Politecnico di Milano, include:
- Dominique Perrault (October 27, 6:00 pm, Milan Polytechnic), architect and urban planner, winner of the Mies van der Rohe Award for the design of the National Library of France, will open the event with a lecture at the Milan Polytechnic.
- Deacon Marvel (October 28, 5:30 pm, Milan Polytechnic) of the Buckminster Fuller Institute
- Didier Faustino (October 28, 6:30 pm, Milan Polytechnic), architect and founder of the Bureau des Mésarchitectures, whose work explores the relationship between body and space through works balancing art and architecture.
- Carlo Ratti (October 29, 6:30 pm, Milan Polytechnic), architect and engineer, director of the Senseable City Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and curator of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
