Politecnico di Milano supporter of 7 projects participating in the Architecture Biennale 2025
Milan, May 14, 2025 – At the 19th. International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, the Politecnico di Milano is supporting seven projects that explore the challenges of contemporary architecture in an interdisciplinary way.
The Architecture Biennale 2025, curated by Politecnico Professor Carlo Ratti, is titled “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.” and proposes a reflection on intelligence as the key to rethinking built space in relation to society, technology and the environment.
The Politecnico contributes by supporting installations that touch on themes such as perception, innovative materials, health, urban regeneration and extraterrestrial space, combining applied research, cross-cutting vision and attention to social impact.
«The Venice Biennale is one of the most prestigious cultural crossroads in the world – comments Rector Donatella Sciuto – and it is an honor for the Politecnico to participate with projects that reflect our vocation for change and contamination between knowledge.»
Among the projects in the exhibition:
- Material Bank - Matters Make Sense, presented by participants Ingrid Maria Paoletti and Stefano Capolongo, in collaboration with Margherita Palli and Nobel laureate Konstantin Novoselov: proposes an interactive exhibit inspired by a labyrinth and library to explore the intelligence of perception and materials.
- Milan Urban Mine, developed by DAStU students and faculty, presents a spatial model for the reuse of building components in a circular perspective.
- Resourceful Intelligence, a collaboration with Park and Accurat, shows strategies for urban reuse of material resources.
